SUMMARY
The client has conservatorship over three minor children and lives in another state. The client brought the children to Alabama to visit with biological mom in May, 2024. The mother refused to return the children to my client. My client filed a pick-up Order and a Complaint to Order the Court in Alabama to return the children. After a Complaint was filed and a Hearing in Blount County, Alabama, the case was dismissed because the Court agreed it did not have jurisdiction over the children to exercise authority. Result Case Dismissed. Client received children back and returned to home state.
